1Introduction to DMA
DMA (Direct Memory Access) cheats use external hardware to read game memory from a separate computer. Unlike traditional software cheats, the cheat software does not run directly on the gaming PC.
How DMA Works
A DMA setup requires a second PC connected to your gaming PC through a PCIe card. The second PC reads game memory through the DMA card, so no cheat process or injected module needs to run on the gaming PC. Detection risk still depends on the firmware, input method, configuration, and in-game behaviour.

A complete DMA setup typically includes:

Why DMA Reduces the Local Footprint
The cheat runs on a separate PC and a read-only setup avoids injecting code or installing a cheat driver on the gaming PC. That reduces the local software footprint, but it does not make a setup impossible to detect. The DMA card presents itself as a PCIe device using spoofed signatures.
3Read-Only vs Read-Write
Most DMA products focus on reading data for ESP, radar, or a second-screen view. Some setups also route input through a separate device. The feature list does not tell you whether every component is compatible, so confirm the software, firmware, card and input method as one stack rather than buying each part independently.
4DMA Card, Firmware and Cheat Software Are Different Products
The DMA card is the physical PCIe device. Firmware is the code loaded onto that card so the FPGA and host system can communicate. The game-specific DMA cheat is the software on the second PC that interprets the memory data and presents features such as radar or ESP. Buying one layer does not automatically include the other two. A complete order should identify the exact card model, required firmware tier, supported game and licence period.
5Minimum DMA Setup Requirements
Before ordering, check the complete hardware path instead of only the card listing:

A fuser combines the second-PC visual output with the gaming display, which is useful for a single-monitor overlay workflow. It is not required when the software is used only as radar on a separate screen. An input device is a different component: it routes mouse or keyboard commands between machines. Do not buy either accessory until the product page or support team confirms that the selected game software uses it.
6How to Check Compatibility Before Buying
Write down the DMA card model, FPGA size, hardware or DNA identifier, gaming-PC motherboard, Windows version, second-PC ports, monitor resolution and refresh rate, and the exact game. Compare that list with the product requirements and live status. If any part is unclear, send the complete list to support before checkout. Compatibility can change after game, Windows, BIOS or anti-cheat updates, so an old setup video is not proof that the same combination is current today.
7DMA vs a Conventional External Cheat
A conventional external cheat still runs on the gaming PC and reads data through local software. A DMA setup moves the memory-reading path to a PCIe device and processes the data on another computer. That architectural difference changes the hardware cost, setup complexity and local software footprint. It does not remove account, configuration or detection risk, and it does not make every DMA product suitable for every game.
A Practical Buying Order
Start with the game and current product status. Then confirm the gaming PC can accept a card, choose the card, match firmware to that exact hardware, prepare the second PC, and only then select game software and optional display or input devices. This order makes troubleshooting much easier because each layer can be verified before the next one is added.
8Risk and Support Expectations
No DMA seller can honestly promise that a setup is impossible to detect. Firmware quality, device behaviour, anti-cheat changes, software configuration, input routing and player behaviour can all affect risk. Check the live status before launching a product, keep the files supplied for your order together, and record exact error messages when asking for support. A screenshot, card model and list of completed troubleshooting steps are more useful than saying only that the setup does not work.
